also he is not in school due to the fact that another student punched my son i the stomach his freh yr that why or howcome he started hurting himself in the mornings to avoid school . he is never going back to school

Internet resource: communicaton, behavior, life skills fact sheets

My family has been through an arduous journey with courageous boy, now 13 y.o., who has Autism. As a social worker, I've finally developed a website in my own time that I hope may be of help to other parents.

It provides objective info on the various disorders, effects, diagnosis, intervention, behavioral issues and other's experiences - essentially the steps we have taken as a family. The site can be viewed at:

I've posted around 100 fact sheets so far and I'm adding a few more each week. If you are parent, please feel free to contribute personal stories with practical tips on how you dealt with various issues. If you are a therapist, any fact sheets dealing with specific issues would be hugely appreciated!
